This year, rather than talking about my own writing, I’ll be out and about interviewing others writers and artists – novelists, playwrights, actors, directors, biographers. From the National Theatre, SouthBankCentre and Hampstead Theatre in London, to Chichester Festival Theatre in Sussex, over the course of the next eight months I’ll be sharing a stage with playwrights and authors including: David Hare, Mark Hayhurst and Ian Kelly, biographers and social historians including Claire Tomalin and Juliet Gardiner, performers Darcey Bussell, Julian Fellowes and Maureen Lipman, directors such as Rachel Kavanaugh, Jeremy Herrin and Howard Davies, the multi-million selling children’s author Francesca Simon. What they all have in common in the experience of taking ideas, words, interpretations from the page to the stage (and screen!). It’s going to be fabulous!
